About The Site
This site is a Philippine blog that talks about my personal interest in collecting, whether it be Japanese toys, robots, action figures, merchandise and/or other stuff that may or may not be coming from or related to Japan. But yeah, you’d pretty much figure out it’s one of his interests. I do not purchase toys on a regular basis and I tend to focus on a certain series or type of toy on occasion so don’t expect a figure of the week review here.
I keep most of my toys on my office desk. I personally think they help me de-stress at work and a lot of my officemates like seeing those toys all out on display too. I also let them “run around” and use my toys for some office desk antics.
Of course every now and then I write about personal things as well as other bits and pieces of news within my country and around the world that I feel like talking about.
There’s really no specific theme or direction for this blog. Earlier in its conception, there was a lot of webcomic pimpage, talk about mecha and some personal rambling that tend to be humiliating at hindsight upon reading them again. The primary interest is definitely on toys whether it be robots, model kits of robots, other people’s work on model kits, the latest in the figurine scene and then there’s the rest.
Graphics used on the site are rendered by me.
About The Author
My name is Mark “Mac” Parreñas. I am a natural born Filipino. I finished a degree in BS Management Information Systems in the Ateneo de Manila University and started working in a multinational engineering company right after I graduated from college in 2005. I started off as a software functionality analyst and eventually moved up being a team leader of a global product database support team. I have always worked in the same company ever since.
I live within Metro Manila and if I’m not at home surfing the net, I can usually be found trawling hobby stores around the metro particularly those in Greenhills, San Juan where most of my favorite stops are located.
I used to build model kits often but with the added responsibilities at the office, time for model kits was greatly reduced. I still build the occasional kit but because of my workload, the kind of toys I acquired has also changed.
Much thanks to Jehz for hosting my blog and for Franz for my domain.
