SIC Kamen Rider Heat/Metal and Luna/Trigger!

Posted on 01 March 2011 by Mark

…and they’ll be two action figures in a single box!

SIC Kamen Rider Heat/Metal and Luna/Trigger

I had already pre-ordered SIC Kamen Rider W and had already speculated that Bandai would most likely release the other forms in separate action figures as well instead of just armor replacement pieces.

You can just imagine my glee when I visited Amiami.com and saw this up for pre-order.

From the image, it appears that this will be a single box but with two action figures: something that Bandai has done in the past (i.e. Kamen Rider Den-O Axe Form and Rod Form). Thankfully, this isn’t an exclusive like the Axe Form/Rod Form release.

I just wish they’d release the HardBoilder. Now just toss in Kamen Rider Skull and I’ll be a happy man.

Accel I can live without but if they release Accel’s blue form, then I might have second thoughts.

Release date posted in Amiami.com is late June 2011.

Sentai Hotties: Yumi Sugimoto

Yumi Sugimoto

I mentioned in a post earlier that I’ve actually backtracking on Sentai shows that I missed out on. One of them is Go-Onger and one of the main reasons why I’m watching it is Yumi Sugimoto, who is Go-On Silver in this show. Continue Reading

Sentai Backtracking

Posted on 02 February 2011 by Mark

Tensou Sentai Goseiger is nearing its end and there is already a lot of discussion regarding the next Super Sentai series which I think is going to be epic simply because it involves practically every single Super Sentai series ever since the franchise’s conception.

Engine Sentai Go-Onger

But at the same time, I’ve also started doing some backtracking on the Sentai shows that I’ve missed. Prior to regularly following Super Sentai shows, I was more of a Kamen Rider fan. But Samurai Sentai Shinkenger brought back my interest in the Super Sentai series (although Goseiger was a bit of a drag for me, to be quite frank, except for the fact that Moune was quite kawaii).

I watched the Shinkenger vs Go-Onger movie and was interested in the series that came out prior to Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (and the fact that Yumi Sugimoto is gorgeous). So…I’ve started watching Go-Onger while I wait for the entire Goseiger series to be finished and just watch the remaining episodes in one go.

And to be quite honest, I’m finding Go-Onger quite hilarious and even more fun to watch than Goseiger. I catch myself laughing at their antics every so often whereas Goseiger annoyed me more than I actually enjoyed it.

Really. Moune, for me, was its only saving grace.

As for Engine Sentai Go-Onger, my favorite characters are actually Sousuke and Gunpei. When they clash, it just cracks me up.

I am currently in episode 11 of the series and definitely looking forward to when Yumi Sugimoto finally makes her debut in the show.

How about you? What was your all-time favorite Super Sentai show?

Nendoroid Miku HMO ver. Out SOON!

Posted on 28 January 2011 by Mark

Probably the cutest iteration of Miku Hatsune to date, in Nendoroid form, Miku Hatsune HMO version is definitely going to be one of my favorite Nendoroid releases, if only for the fact that there’s so much that you get inside the package. Not only do you get your standard Nendoroid, but this is a Nendoroid that’s fully posable (like Nendoroid Saber). There’s also so much detail on her like the cables that stick out of her headset. Plus she comes with a lot of items: two keyboards, an entire drum set, etc.

PSP2 Announced!

Posted on 27 January 2011 by Mark

I am sure a lot of you have been waiting for this day to come, when Sony finally announced the next generation Playstation Portable, considering that their yet to be released Xperia Play device (or Playstation Phone) was already making waves in both the mobile phone and gaming industry, sporting Android under the hood and promising you mobile gaming goodness the Sony way.

Now, here we have the much anticipated upgrade to the Playstation Portable line. The Playstation Portable 2 (codenamed NGP). And honestly, I am quite excited with what I see here and in the next series of press shots that I’ll be including.

More after the jump. Continue Reading

I want these speakers NOW!

Posted on 26 January 2011 by Mark

I’ve been looking around for laptop speakers that, in my opinion, would look nice and at the same time, fit the small space where I have my laptop situated in. But most of the worthwhile options have always had a subwoofer component along with it and that wasn’t exactly something I wanted to carry around.

Then I visited Engadget today and saw this:

The Future of Mobile PC Gaming?

Posted on 25 January 2011 by Mark

I only caught wind of this device because I have started frequenting the Razer website ever since I acquired my Orochi mouse. Although I’ve visited the site several times prior to getting the mouse, I never really took notice of this particular gadget on the website although it does say that this was part of the CES 2011 so I am assuming that it was a recent addition to the website.

Razer Switchblade

The device I am talking about is the Razer Switchblade. It is basically a portable device allowing you to play your favorite PC games on the go. What makes things interesting and amazing about this device is the keyboard. The keyboard, Razer says, adapts to any game you run on the Switchblade, whether it be a MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online), RTS (Real-Time Strategy), FPS (First Person Shooter) or Casual game. Orochi

Posted on 23 January 2011 by Mark

The mouse I’ve been wanting to get for some time now is finally here.

Razer Orochi

I have been in need of a replacement wireless mouse for quite some time now. The old Logitech wireless mouse was already double-clicking whenever I just do a single click which can be annoying whenever I’m working on some spreadsheets or editing some images. So an upgrade/replacement was due. Even before acquiring a new laptop, the Orochi has been in my sights because it’s a nice wireless mouse with gaming pedigree. I know that for hardcore gamers, this mouse is still a bit painful to the hands due to its small size but I’m fine with it since the size isn’t far from the mouse I’ve been using previously.

Razer Orochi

The neat thing about the Orochi is the fact that you can program macros with it which you can use for gaming. Another neat feature is that it connects to your laptop via bluetooth so that means it frees up the USB port I used to occupy with the older mouse’s receiver which also stuck out of the side of my laptop like a USB flash drive. Along with with that, the mouse can also operate in wired mode. There is a USB cable that comes with the mouse that you can use especially when your batteries run out of juice. This also allows you to get 4000dpi of sensitivity for your gaming needs. I’m good with 2000dpi though.

Razer Orochi

The top cover of the Orochi is a single piece that comes off when you need to replace the batteries. The locking feature in the old mouse was a hook mechanism which was already broken so I held the lid in place with a little bit of blu tack. The Orochi’s lid is held in place by a magnet so the entire cover comes off, buttons and all to reveal a two-slot AA battery compartment. This one needs more juice than my previous mouse but that’s what the Eneloops I stocked up on and the fact that this mouse can also go cable-mode, are for.

Razer Orochi

I have to admit though that my hand is still getting used to the Orochi. The sensitivity’s a bit new to me and also, the shape is foreign. But the overall experience is definitely good. The feel of the rubberized lid is good to the hands. The teflon pieces underneath makes the mouse slide smoothly on almost any surface.

I am definitely loving this mouse. Will be testing it on some games soon.

Maybe Raynor will need my help yet again. ;)

Considering GFFN ReZEL

Posted on 21 January 2011 by Mark

Now that I have the GFFN FA Unicorn Gundam, I am once again considering one GFFN that I wanted to get when it was announced but had to pass up on it since that time, my funding was being moved towards acquiring Nendoroids.

The GFFN I am talking about is the ReZEL which is based off the Zeta and Delta Gundam technology. There were two types of ReZELs seen in the Gundam Unicorn OVAs: the regular type and the Commander Type which basically carries a hyper mega launcher while the regular type just carries the standard issue beam rifle. There is a difference in the color of the visors but for the GFFN release, the sensors are all colored red regardless of whether the beam rifle or the hyper mega launcher is armed. The differences between the regular type and the Commander Type are the sensor colors and the armaments.

Hopefully, I’d still be able to find this one on local shelves. It would be neat to have this standing beside my GFFN FA Unicorn Gundam. Continue Reading
