Really. I wouldn’t. When this figma showed up on the preorders, everyone was complaining that it was so bloody expensive when prior to the price tag announcement, everyone was saying “OMFG, I will definitely get this figma! FINALLY! This figma has always been in my wishlist!” figma KOS MOS was never on my wishlist. The figma design I was wishing for was the seifuku version of figma BRS with a traditional katana in black. But everyone else said “meh, too many seifuku figmas. We’d rather see KOS MOS.”
So finally, KOS MOS shows up and all you’re going to complain about is the fucking price?! The damn thing costs around the same price as a regular Nendoroid for fuck’s sake.
*woosah*

Anyways, I am not passing up on figma KOS MOS. She will be standing right beside my gorgeous figma Cute once I get her. I’ve never been a fan of the games where KOS MOS appeared. Probably the only game I played that had KOS MOS in it was that SRW rpg with all the bouncing boobies you can find~! Continue Reading

It appears that Bandai is cashing in on the obvious popularity of the RX-78-2 Gundam ver. Ka and Unicorn Gundam Metal Composite releases. So much so that they’re actually releasing two more new repaints this October and November.
For October, there will be a Tamashii Nation limited release of the Metal Composite RX-78-2 Gundam ver. Ka (Rollout Color ver.). Basically, it’s the Gundam ver. Ka in white paint except for the mechanical parts which remain in gray. There are red highlights too, particularly the parts that are in red in the regular painted version as well as some other parts like the vents, etc.
For November, Bandai is releasing the Metallic Coating version of the Metal Composite Unicorn Gundam. I wouldn’t really call it metallic. I’ve seen some of the protos and they look more like a pearl finish to me. But whatever. I honestly don’t see the reason in releasing something that’s basically just “shinier” than the previous release. But if Bandai thinks that there’s a market for this, then go ahead. Whatever floats their boat, I guess. I would have been more amazed if after they released the GFFN FA Unicorn Gundam, they release a GFFN Banshee or a Metal Composite Banshee/FA Unicorn Gundam. But a pearl finish re-release of what already appeared to be a fine action figure? Nah.
Here’s a promo shot of the Metallic Coating ver. of the Metal Composite Unicorn Gundam.

Here are some SIC magazine scans from Ngee Khiong’s blog.

Here are better shots of the soon-to-be-released SIC Kamen Rider Stronger and Tackle. Up close, that Stronger head design is starting to grow on me plus that whole light effect for the eyes and the chest for his Charge Up mode is pretty neat. Makes me wish the previous Kamen Riders had light up eyes as well. Continue Reading

A person commented on one of my old Gloomy photo story posts and I suddenly missed this murderous pink bear. Now, Revoltech is releasing a bloodier version of this action figure. And by bloodier, I meant this:

More blood decals on Gloomy. But that corpse face is just creepy. Continue Reading

Bandai had already released Kamen Rider Kuuga before but I wasnt too fond of how it looked since it was bordering along the “Another” styling of SIC action figures where it was very skinny and organic-looking. But it looks like Bandai is enjoying the success of their Kamen Rider Kabuto release with Decade Final Form Ride parts so now they’re releasing SIC Kamen Rider Kuuga Decade Edition with Kuuga Final Form Ride parts.
I’m actually liking the look and size of this one. The proportions are better on this one I think since as I said earlier, I found for earlier release of Kamen Rider Kuuga to be too skinny for my taste. This one looks like it can really support you in a brawl. He is definitely bulkier than the previous form. Continue Reading

I’m still following Kamen Rider W although I’m several episodes behind due to internet service issues at home as well as finding time to actually download the episodes. Nevertheless, I still am a big fan of this particular KR series and am looking forward to Bandai releasing Kamen Rider W SIC action figures. I know they are already rolling out more proto’s of the other Kamen Rider W forms in Bandai’s MG Figurise line but I don’t really give a crap about that one. I prefer the SIC action figure line!

My cousin and his girlfriend came over for a couple of weeks, the last week having been spent in our house. To hit two birds with one stone, I decided to take my annual vacation around this time so as to be there to take them around as well. They did a relatively good amount of shopping but their main targets were really the stuff that they had trouble getting back in Guam which are manga and anime-related merchandise, certain clothing brands and bargain buys. Since GSC had revamped their RQ Miku for their Goodsmile Racing brand, I guess they found it “necessary” to revamp the other RQ designs for their vocaloids. You recall that they had already released a puchi Nendoroid set of the first RQ Miku design along with RQ Lin and Luka. So now that they have a new design for RQ Miku pointing around that gas pump, they just had to redesign RQ Lin and Luka to match RQ Miku’s new look. Continue Reading

Finally managed to bring my DSLR to the office and found time to take a couple of shots of SIC Dark Kiva. Not a lot of poses since I can hardly find any window to set up the lights and such so the poses were quite limited since my time was also limited.

This is Dark Kiva holding that grand sword from the series which Kiva Emperor Form could hardly wield without the help of Tatsulot to contain the sword’s power. Dark Kiva, however, had no trouble swinging this thing around. The material for the sword is pretty neat. The edges and the filigree are painted in silver and the stabbing top of the sword is in gold while the material underneath is in clear plastic giving off that crystal effect. It’s a magnificent sword. I thought Hyper Kabuto’s sword was already awesome but this one takes the cake for me. Continue Reading
