I’ve talked about Hyakka Ryouran figures in the recent past and now there’s another one coming out and I think even if this one’s a mail order exclusive, it’s actually a worthwhile exclusive to get. As gorgeous as Yagyu Jubei is, this baby’s got a juicier rack and more beautiful legs. The character I’m talking about is the silent companion of Yukimura Sanada: Goto Matabei. She’s all meek but still all woman.

This woman has no idea how much skin she’s showing. But the sculpt for this figurine is just so gorgeous that it’s difficult to let this one pass. The figurine is a mail order exclusive so if you want to own this figurine, you would need to contact your third party buyers to get this gorgeous piece for you.

When I first saw the Yagyu Jyubei figurine by Alter for the Hyakka Ryoran series, I had told myself that I would get that figurine above anything else. But I guess over the timespan between then and now, other things got me preoccupied as well as my wallet. But my liking for the sculpt of the figurine has not diminished.
Back then, I have not yet been able to watch the series so I was liking it more for the lineart that came with the announcement of the figurine as well as sculpt of the figurine itself. But after watching some episodes from the series, I am definitely planning out how to get all three figurines (I said three because the fourth one is a mail-order exclusive plus the character’s too young for my taste).
There are three Hyakka Ryoran figurines that I would love to own which were all made by Alter. The first one is of course Yagyu Jubei.

The sculpt and color of this figurine just looks so topnotch and I think a lot of those who have already acquired this figurine attest to the quality that Alter put into making this figurine. I am absolutely loving the thighs on this sculpt as attested by another figurine acquisition I had made recently. The ropes are a nice touch and I am definitely loving this particularl figurine. I think this is the next one I’ll get once my P.O.P. Boa Hancock arrives.

I usually don’t pick up figurines like these but this one has a nice face and appears to have a nice sculpt as well. Let alone the fact that the legs look nice also.

This is Okami Ryoko from Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi. Basically she’s the leader of the group called the Otogi Bank. Haven’t really seen the actual show but this figurine has gotten me interested in the series (EDIT: I picked up the 12-ep series from Coffeebugg).

I finally got her. I’ve been wanting to own this figurine ever since I saw her master mold in the hobby sites and now she’s finally standing on my office desk and I absolutely love it!
This is 1/8 Scale Oboro Mumaramasa Momohime by Alter and she is just absolutely gorgeous. There is but one other figurine that I would want to own aside from this and it is the two versions of Yabyu Jubei also from Alter.
I’ll let my shots speak of how beautiful this figurine is. Continue Reading

Ever since Boa Hancock showed up as one of the Royal Shichibukai in One Piece, I’ve considered her as the hottest manga/anime character in my book. She has practically dethroned every single gorgeous anime/manga female character that I have encountered in the past.
That’s why I am quite frustrated that I wasn’t able to catch Boa’s figurine in preorder and seeing the production images in Amiami just increases my regret that I was not able to get her. My incoming Momohime figurine is gorgeous but I would want Boa more than Momohime.

Boa comes in this gorgeous form. Her red outfit having a metal red coating. Most figurine adaptations don’t normally catch the exact look of the character but this one takes the cake. Absolutely beautiful from afar. But I do notice something to be concerned about with this figurine. Her pose, and the fact that she’s made from PVC, automatically makes her a candidate for leaning when placed in a warm room. Continue Reading

There was another swimsuit figurine for the Shining Wind series that I was quite interested in because the sculpt looked really nice. But I had to pass on Seena for budget reasons, among other things. This one however, takes the cake. Combining a really nice sculpt for the face, an awesome body and a sexy swimsuit, Max Factory’s Swimsuit version for Kureha from Shining Wind really does well to remind me that summer is here!

I first saw this as an item that was up for preorder in Amiami and apparently, it was already posted in Mikatan’s blog. Continue Reading

Aside from the goosebump-inducing developments in One Piece, the news I’m getting from stuff pre-ordered and upcoming is just staggering! There’s so much to talk about that I was temped to break them up into different posts but I decided to just lump them all together into a single post and leave you guys to ogling them.

Amiami.com finally has merchandise pics of SIC Kamen Rider Ixa and Dark Kiva. But looking at the English site for Amiami, it appears that you would not be able to preorder this through the site. But the odd thing is that I don’t recall this item coming out for preorder in the English site although I did see it in the Japanese site. Japan-exclusive item? Probably. Either way, I’m getting my grubby hands on them.

Hmm… A lot of figurines that I am actually interested in showing up lately. This does not bode well for my wallet.
Anyways, loved the Bakemonogatari series, so much so that I have vowed to collect all the puchi Nendoroids that will be released for that series. And then this one comes into the fray…
Got this bit of news from Coffeebugg’s blog who, by the way, has just moved to WordPress.com (yay!).

This is Senjougahara Hitagi from the anime series Bakemonogatari. The figurine is made by Kotobukiya. She looks absolutley gorgeous in this figurine.

After staying away from figurines for quite some time (last one having been Kyouka Midarezaki), I am once again drawn towards one and this time, I want it because of how it looks. I am not even familiar with the series that this figurine is connected to. I just want it because she looks cute, she wields a sword and the colors are nicely done.
This is Oboro Muramasa Momohime by Alter.
