I’ve been looking around for laptop speakers that, in my opinion, would look nice and at the same time, fit the small space where I have my laptop situated in. But most of the worthwhile options have always had a subwoofer component along with it and that wasn’t exactly something I wanted to carry around.
Then I visited Engadget today and saw this:
Now, I know I’ve been raving about Razer these past couple of days after acquiring a Razer Orochi but you have to admit, these mobile speakers look GOOD. I mean, REALLY GOOD.
Here’s the technology explained. But the long and short of it is that it transmits sound quite nicely regardless of where you’re seated and they say it’s a whole lot better than front-facing speakers.
I, for one, like it for its design. It’s simple but it’s got that sleek look to it. Plus the LED lighting at the base would look good at any dark-themed desk. My laptop’s entirely black so this would be a good match to it, paired with the Razer Orochi. Now I just need to get myself a larger LED display after I get my grubby mitts on these mobile speakers and I’m all set. Oh wait, there’s also the Lycosa. Talk about entirely Razer peripherals.
Anyhoo, here’s a couple more pics to drool over. The pair of speakers sell for $60 from the website, not including shipping so I’m wondering how they would cost once these speakers hit Philippine shores. One thing’s for sure: given that they’re cheaper than the cost of my mouse, I definitely wouldn’t mind paying up right away once they show up on a local shelf.
