New Sentai Series: Goseiger

Goseiger

This is the next sentai that will air after Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. It’s been quite some time since we last had a sentai series where the helmet designs had lips.

Looking at their uniforms, it’s like five Zeon soldiers were given a specific color each and turned into a sentai team. But I AM interested in the design as well as the actual concept of the series. No green character this time around and the black ranger makes a reappearance (Shinkenger has a green ranger). Looking at their weapons, the blue ranger gets a bow-type weapon like in Shinkenger. Also, they all appear to have similar shield-like devices that transform into their unique weapons. The guns have that steampunk look to it.

I do enjoy watching Shinkenger a lot. The actors they got may seem overexaggerated when they act but they definitely fit their characters.

I've passed up on a lot of sentai prior to this one. But this one got me hooked.

Now we'll see if the next series will meet the bar Shinkenger was able to set for me.

Yeah. I saw that one. I personally enjoyed it. But it felt too short. I liked decade. I just didn't like how the series left me hanging for the movie ending.

Mark which is your favorite super sentai from those that you have seen so far? Mine is actually the american Mighty Morphin Power Rangers...the one with Zordon haha. (my favorite classic stuff ^^)

I enjoyed MMPR a lot when it was shown. Didn't know it was copying Sentai series from Japan until I was much older...

Sure is looking like a retro revival these days, I can really see the Dynaman and Denjiman stylistic cues in their uniforms.

Yeah. I'm really looking forward to seeing the robots that they designed for this series as well as the token cute rangers.
