Bandai had already released Kamen Rider Kuuga before but I wasnt too fond of how it looked since it was bordering along the “Another” styling of SIC action figures where it was very skinny and organic-looking. But it looks like Bandai is enjoying the success of their Kamen Rider Kabuto release with Decade Final Form Ride parts so now they’re releasing SIC Kamen Rider Kuuga Decade Edition with Kuuga Final Form Ride parts.
I’m actually liking the look and size of this one. The proportions are better on this one I think since as I said earlier, I found for earlier release of Kamen Rider Kuuga to be too skinny for my taste. This one looks like it can really support you in a brawl. He is definitely bulkier than the previous form.

I’m liking this design a lot. The sculpting of the upper body makes this iteration of Kamen Rider Kuuga a bit more menacing. And compared to later Kamen Rider suits, the Kuuga suit can look a bit boring but this SIC redesign makes look far better than a good lot of them. This one definitely looks better than the upcoming Kamen Rider series that’s going to replace Kamen Rider W.
Looking at this image though, we see Kamen Rider Den-O on the front part which makes me wonder if it’s going to be re-released but then I realized that the Final Form Ride for Den-O was basically transforming Den-O into Momotaros himself… Right? So there go my hopes of Bandai releasing Decade Editions of the other Heisei Riders.

Looking at this action figure up close, I’m really seriously considering getting this as my fourth SIC box purchase. I currently own five SIC action figures acquired in three boxes (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Kamen Rider Gatack, Kamen Rider Dark Kabuto, Kamen Rider Dark Kiva, and Kamen Rider Ixa).
Do you collect SICs as well? Are planning on getting this one?
This SIC release is slated for December 2010 at ¥6,300. You can probably find discounts from your favorite online stores if you order this early.

I have a hard time warming up to many of the designs in the SIC line-up. While the attention to detail are impressive, the organic styling on some is really not my taste (see SIC Black RX). This Kuuga does look good even if it does borderline on "monster ugly".
I wish Bandai would re-release the SIC Den-O though! That figure set is really expensive at the moment!
Perhaps Bandai would release a special box set of all the Den-O forms but when that could possibly happen, I'm not sure.
Next SIC releases are going to be Kuuga and Wild Chalice.
