Both shots taken at my office desk. First shot has that Batman-overlooking-Gotham inspiration. She’s holding the beam saber from a GFF Blue Destiny Gundam.
Coffeebugg was asking me the other day about the EXIF data from my shots. They’re now loaded in my deviantart account and you can view the details from there. Just click on the image and you’ll go straight to my dA page.
I had a very restful weekend. I hardly did anything on that weekend except stay online, watch movies on my laptop and do some reading. It was a good weekend spent on resting and clearing my mind to be ready for the things that may come my way this week.
How was YOUR weekend? How was YOUR Monday?

Dropped by Mikatan’s blog and the figma blog to see if there was anything new from their end and boy was I happy with what I saw.
Mark (Coffeebugg) and I had ordered the Queen’s Blade PSP game that had a figma exclusive included with the game. All this time, all that was shown were images of the master model and no image of box contents and stuff. The figma blog showed a couple of actual merchandise shots of the box containing the game and the exclusive figma.

The box reminds me of the Saber Lily PSP game box with the exclusive figma that came with it.

I was trying to figure out how Max Factory was going to pull off the torn outfit look for this figma and with this, it looks like the decided to toss in an extra torso to do that. But a closer inspection of the extra torso shows that it seems to be fixed in a certain position. I’m actually not too fond of that discovery. Aside from the melee weapons that we’ve seen in the earlier master model shots, this figma comes with two extra faces. And that’s it.
But I still wanted this because it’s a nice figma design. The detail is awesome.
And torn panties. Yes. Continue Reading

Was fiddling around with the bits and pieces from my GFFs and I figured one of them sabers from the GFF Blue Destiny Gundam would fit in Drossel’s hand. The left one was a bit too tight but the right hand was a perfect snug fit. Thus this series of photos where our resident office desk princess discovers the power of beam melee weaponry. Yes, I can hear the Nanoha fans jumping with glee. They’re so happy that they can still own a Subaru Nakajima action figure despite not being able to afford the ActSta version. For fuck’s sake, Max Factory, will you please roll out figmas from some other series?! Do you not have enough money to deal with other animation studios and purchase permits to create action figures from their line of characters? I am honestly sick and tired of seeing another Nanoha figma release and I’m not even a figma collector!

On a different note, we see the Tsumugi Nendoroid master on Mikatan’s blog. Although I never watched the series, I did read some of the manga. It’s primarily Mio Akiyama fanservice, from my perspective, really. But I did pre-order all the Nendoroids from this line simply because I wanted the band setup. That one was awesome and it would be interesting to have my other Nendoroids use the band instruments.
Also, a couple of pics of Sebastian and Saber Lily on my office desk soon. I’ve yet to find time to think about what shenanigans they should be up to. Maybe have the mini Kyoukas, Sebastian and Gloomy have an encounter.

I managed to stop by Greenhills this morning before heading to work. Since Pats had sent over the email informing subscribers that certain pre-orders have arrived, I figured I might as well check the shop out. Coffeebugg also asked me to inquire if they still had any floating Nendoroid Raspberyls that I could reserve for him.
Well, they didn’t. Continue Reading

I didn’t think it was possible until last Saturday evening when I was at an early Christmas dinner organized by my friend, Emrys. One of our friends, Cero/Zero (cue in Bleach reference), was having a field day showing off his origami skills and made a paper crane that was small enough to fit a figma hand. I thought it was neat so I decided to take a picture of it being held by Drossel. Of course, he just had to go and make a paper hat for Drossel as well.

figma Drossel finally arrived ast my office desk in the most unlikely of circumstances. But the end result was still that I have one at last and what makes things better is that it’s a gift from Chil. I am one very happy camper! Now all that’s left is to wait for my 1/8 Kyouka Midarezaki with Puchi Kyoukas to arrive.
This Drossel is an early Christmas gift from my partner but I just absolutely love it because it came from her. That’s enough to make it awesome! Continue Reading

Like I mentioned yesterday on Twitter, coffeebugg showed up at my desk sometime during the day with a resealable plastic bag. Inside was a figma that he said he was selling to me. His cousin apparently wanted to get rid of some figmas which included a WonFes Konata (the Konata wearing the Haruhi cosplay) and a just-out-of-the-box Summer Uniform Konata. Included in the bundle was a near-mint condition figma Reika, complete with all the hands, faces, accessories, figma base and the Gantz #26 manga.
“Want to have it for Php700?”
“Yes.”
Who am I to let this one slide. It’s an exclusive release and it’s being sold for way less than even half the price of the original package. All that was lacking was the box which I could do without.
Read the manga. It’s an awesome series.
A shot of my katana-wielding toys together in a single shot on my desk soon.
This week’s been so-so. My Monday didn’t start so well and I have gnawing feeling that the week’s yet to go downhill at this point. I’m not liking that feeling at all. I know it’s barely halfway though the week but I’m really looking forward to Friday already. I want this week to be over with but there’s still so much to do at the office.
There ARE a couple of items that I am expecting to arrive within the next couple of weeks. First is figma Drossel which we’ve been hunting for for the longest time now and coffeebugg has finally managed to find time to pick it up from customs. Hopefully, he brings mine to the office tomorrow but it’s highly likely that I’ll get it near the end of the week. Another would be the 1/8 Kyouka Midarezaki that we got for a sweet deal. We’ve yet to receive a notice that it has arrived in customs for pickup. But I think I’ll have it at my desk by next week.
For now, I’ll be happy with my new figma Reika. Definitely a worthwhile acquisition. :3

This has been on my wishlist ever since I first saw this many moons ago when they announced a Queen’s Blade figma to be released as an exclusive bundle to the PSP game.

My friend coffeebugg told me today that he has three of those coming in this January and one of them doesn’t have an owner yet! So I told him right away that I’d be more than happy to take that owner-less figma off his hands.

The above image is one of the main reasons why I wanted to own this figma. :3

I already have a coffee press at the office which I had purchased from Starbucks. But what annoys me sometimes is that when I use it, there are still a good amount of grounds that go through the press’s filter. I guess the rubber seal on the side of the press doesn’t work as well as its stainless steel screen counterpart. So I decided to get myself a coffee dripper as another option. There was a mug + coffee dripper item on one of the shelves on Starbucks but when I tried to place that on another mug in the shelf, it didn’t fit so it was only for a single mug: the mug that the dripper comes with.
I had to find a dripper similar to Mark’s (aka coffeebugg). Found one yesterday. For only Php85.

So here we got Kagami-chan showing off the two items I had bought from Saizen yesterday while I was waiting for Chil to meet up with me at Robinson’s Galeria. She looks cranky because she hasn’t had her coffee for the day and her owner refuses to open up the bag of coffee filters. Well, there really isn’t much to do since I left the bag of Muan Chai at the office although I would prefer to drink some Tanzanian coffee right now.

The bag-o-coffee-filters also cost Php85 pesos. I always enjoy shopping in Saizen because the place is just packed of lots of items that come from Japan. When you step in, you get some attendants scream irashaimasen at you and you hear Utada Hikaru singing in the background. There’s so much more that I want to get from that place like chopsticks, office supplies, resealable plastic bags, plastic containers and some utensils and plates and whatnot.

Got me the clear version of the coffee dripper…errr…well it’s not like I have a choice. Clear is the only version that is available at the store that time. But either way, if there were other colors, I would have only gotten one of three: clear, turquoise or pink. Mark’s is blue. For some reason, I like my gear color matching somehow and if I got something similar to Mark’s, it doesn’t mix well with my Miku Hatsune itasha Starbucks mug.
How often do you drink coffee in a day? In a week?
