I finally got her. I’ve been wanting to own this figurine ever since I saw her master mold in the hobby sites and now she’s finally standing on my office desk and I absolutely love it!
This is 1/8 Scale Oboro Mumaramasa Momohime by Alter and she is just absolutely gorgeous. There is but one other figurine that I would want to own aside from this and it is the two versions of Yabyu Jubei also from Alter.
I’ll let my shots speak of how beautiful this figurine is. Continue Reading

Was shooting Nendoroids for most of the week so I decided to close the week with a photo of a figurine instead. This is a photo of my 1/8 scale Kyouka Midarezaki. Hopefully, I’m improving on the color front. I had a penchant for using lomo or old photo effects on most of my photos in the past (although I still use them to this day) but now, I’ve started working on improving my post-processing by working on the white balance and contrast of my photos. A lot of my friends who take photography as a liiiiittle bit more than just a hobby, they tend to use Lightroom more often but I’ve always liked using Photoshop. Continue Reading

Coffeebugg got a notice from the post office near our building that a package had arrived. He went off to pick it up earlier this afternoon then dropped it off at my desk.

As figma Drossel looked on, I removed the item inside the package that I had been waiting to acquire for the longest time. Now I know a lot of people got theirs many moons ago. I only managed to set aside cash to get one recently and thankfully there was a trusted eBay seller who was still selling this baby so I willingly parted with a good amount of money to have this shipped over to the Philippines. Beware, some NSFW images in the link
Yet another Nanael figurine and this one’s quite kawaii. Click on the link to see the rest of the images in Amiami.com and you be the judge. Is not cast off capable but has interchangeable torsos.
This definitely falls into my wishlist.

Saw this nice bit of news from Mikatan’s blog. It’s an upcoming Miku Hatsune figurine to be released by GSC at an undisclosed date. It’s labelled as “World Is Mine” Miku Hatsune. She’s got that loli look going.

Felt that this place was missing Yoko so here’s something to refresh your memory of our beloved sniper. This is Alter’s Yomako Sensei in 1/8 PVC goodness. I like how the skirt, her oppai and the face turned out. Definitely better than hamster-face Yoko of Revoltech fame. Ugh, that one was quite the disappointment. I’m praying to the gods that be that Figma would release a Figma Yoko and trump Revoltech’s Fraulein Yoko.
Anyhoo, selling price for this gorgeous figurine is 6,090 yen and will be out February of 2009. Thanks to coffeebugg for the heads up on this gorgeous figurine.

Saw this in e2046.com and reminded me a lot about the Shunya Yamashita Rei Ayanami. It’s Asuka Langley of Neon Genesis Evangelion fame by Dynamite Project done in adult/mature-ish fashion. She’s sexy, she has gorgeous facial features, sultry eyes and a body that would make Genji Ikari get over his Rei Ayanami fixation, stop cloning women and gun for the real thing. Yes they are. Especially this one. She’s Holon, an android assistant from Shirow Masamune’s future suspense series, Real Drive. Dunno what the whole series is about but this android definitely scores a lot of points on the hotness department. First of all, she has a ginormous/generous pair of oppai for a robot, awesome looks, that pair of sexy librarian glasss, the exceedingly tight skirts, curvaceous thighs and every soft curve you expect to see in a voluptuous woman. *wipes nosebleed* Click the image to get better angles of her. Megahouse’s sculptors definitely did a fine job of making this figurine’s curves realistic. She’s like your fantasy teacher who’s got the hots for you Love-Hina-style.
The Real Drive series features cute student Minamo Aoi…errrr…nosebleeding here so I’ll let Wikipedia do the talking:
Real Drive is set in 2061 AD, fifty years after the development of the Network society. The new infrastructure was to create a utopia where people could directly connect at the level of consciousness. But new social problems, such as personal data leaks and disinformation surface. People still must rely heavily on the Network and are unable to abandon it.
In due course, a new Network realm with more effective security measures was developed. This was called Meta Real Network, nicknamed “The Metal.”
The Metal holds personal memory data in bubble shells. These are supposedly protected virtual online organic cyber-enclaves. The Metal eventually pervades the everyday lives of people.
People gradually learned to release and explore their instincts within the environment of the Metal. The unleashed instincts cause some individual’s consciousness to drown in the sea of information and to be exposed to the pressures of desire.
Meanwhile, norms and regulations continue to bind their real world lives. Friction between the two worlds manifests as troublesome aberrations.
Cyber Divers are experts who investigate and decipher these aberrations in the Metal.
Megahouse released a Minamo Aoi figurine as well as she definitely doesn’t lack in the curves, oppai and thighs department either.
From Wikipedia:
An intern for hired by Masamichi Haru and Sister of Souta Aoi. Originally hired to replace Holon during a leave for maintenance, she became a permanent employee after she helped guide Masamichi back from a dive gone wrong. Unlike the other humans and some animals in the story, she does not possess a Cyberbrain augmentation, and requires electronic accessories to access The Metal.

Both figurines are to be released late January 2009 and are worth 5,800 yen each. Info from HobbySearch. As always, click the image to get to the gallery.

Yes! Oppai goodness! And remember my fixation over chicks with big swords? (Ehhhhh?! That didn’t sound right…)
Anyhoo, this figurine of Rangiku Matsumoto by Megahouse was already released several moons ago and now, it appears that the figure-collecting community lacked some oppai goodness down Shinigami street so they have heeded the calls of despair from the cleavage-depraved and re-issued this wonderful 1/8 PVC figurine. The release is slate for January of 2009 and is worth 4,000 yen.

Whohohoah! Long time no post! And I make a comeback with a figurine feature but of course, you fellas probably didn’t miss the mecha news since good ol’ Ngee Khiong and Marvin’s got that base covered. I am lovin’ that battle damaged Exia that will get an HCM Pro release and I’m keen on getting that Collection DX8. Skedaddle over to Ngee’s site for more details. And for those haven’t watched or have no way of watching the first ep of Gundam 00 Season 02, then go over to Marvin’s blog for a hilarious yet insightful blow by blow coverage. Of course despite all the link pimpage, I’m still currently disappointed with that prototype Sinanju. To the point where Marvin had to edit out my profanities (can’t remember what exactly I wrote but I was thoroughly pissed like a fanboi that time). Bandai better make sure it turns out better than that piece o shit they rolled out. Or mobile suit heads will roll, I tell you. They will ROLL!
Anyhoo, back to the figurine at hand. Girls with katanas in anime have always predominantly hot, gorgeous and deadly. This character is of no exception. She’s Kanzaki Kaori from A Certain Magical Index (a certain magical what?). Never heard of the anime. Never heard of her either. But her figurine looks really nice. Quite an exemplary Kotobukiya release. She’s got that cute face framed with an aggressive hairstyle and I like how the sculpt of the hair-in-the-wind turned out. Then the jeans. That exposed leg is very sexeh! Of course that black sheathed katana looks as deadly as the real thing. Saw this hot piece of figurine goodness in Amiami but the details I got from HobbySearch.
It is slated for release this February 2009 with a price tag of 6,800 yen.
