Saw a toy online today that made me feel nostalgic about the shows that I used to enjoy back when I was a kid. It’s a Metal Hero action figure by Action Works. This Metal Hero is the first of a trilogy of Space Sheriff shows. His name is Space Sheriff Gavan. Continue Reading

When before we only had some scans from Mr. BlurryScanner, now we have shots of the actual merchandise spotted at Tamashii Nation 2009.

These display items look absolutely gorgeous and it’s spurring me to finish my two Master Grade Gundam Unicorns soon. One thing’s for sure, though. When this baby hits the shelves, I’ll be one of the first people to grab one for myself. It’s going to burn a painful hole in my pocket but it will definitely be worth it. I mean, just look at the detail! I do have a feeling that posability will be almost as limited or even worse than the Psycho Gundam Mk. I but who cares, right?!
There may be some crazy people who would buy two just to have both forms on display on their desk. I would if I had the cash. But right now, one is enough.
Don’t know about release dates yet but this definitely falls in my watch so I’ll keep you guys who are interested in this posted. ^_^

This is going to be my next Gundam purchase and before this comes out, I will make sure I complete both model kits that are still waiting to be completed in my room. It will definitely cost an arm and a leg but this is one of the few GFF Metal Composites that I am not willing to pass up on.

Here’s something interesting and different. It’s Fichtenfoo’s version of the MG Sinanju ver. Ka. Deviating from the usual cherry glossy red iterations, he chose to paint it in purple and use white trim. I like the different color scheme. I feel the white trim was lifted from the Kshatriya. Click on the image for the rest of the shots. This is definitely and interesting color scheme and I think it’s absolutely awesome.

This news is a bit old. I recall having seen this bit of information in Ngee Khiong’s blog almost a month ago. I just had to talk about it today.
My partner gave me two MG Gundam Unicorn kits for my birthday and I haven’t even gotten around to finishing at least one. And now this one comes in and if the price is what I think it is from Happinet, then that means this action figure clocks in at almost Php5,000 pesos. That’s just crazy. That’s an SIC already. But I assume due to the complication of its transformation, they had to raise the price a bit, if knocking it up a couple of grand would be considered “a bit”.
Would I buy it? I’m tempted to but I’d rather pay for that Figma Miku Hatsune Live Ver. And I’ve yet to finish those two MG kits.

Saw this bit of news from Ngee Khiong’s blog. It’s the Full Armor Gundam. Basically, it’s the exact same Gundam Unicorn in Destroy Mode but with a whole crapload of armaments and two large fuel tanks/boosters at rear.
The Psycoframe appears to change from the usual red to green/blue.

It appears to have a shield mounted on each arm as well, additional rifle armaments, maybe even the beam gatling gun. Rocket launchers on its legs similar to those mounted on a Zaku, and a whole Macross-salvo worth of projectiles on its back. It’s like Heavyarms Custom gone berserk.
What do you think about this one? Think they’ll release a Master Grade version of this once the anime comes out?

This is how I think the RX-0 Banshee should look like. It’s a mod from a chap from this site. I do have a small nitpick. The pair of small antenna in the middle are too obvious to be coming from the crest/V-fin of a Strike/Freedom/Strike Freedom. Other than that, everything else looks awesome.

So the mysterious black Unicorn is finally officially named as Banshee and its designation is written in classic Engrish: Full-Psyco-FLAME Prototype. The visor and therefore the eyes and camera glow red while the inner psychoframe parts glow an orange-gold tinge. The only noticeable difference would be the red accents around the legs of the Gundam when in Normal mode and the different unicorn horn which folds out into a magnificent V-fin. Also, the head in Normal Mode looks more like a samurai helmet with forehead plating and the horn looks like that of a cockatoo. Reminds me of a spikey version of the Tallgeese III head. Now that there was a MG Sinanju released, do you guys think Bandai would be bothered to release this version out? Or do you think a head conversion for the MG Unicorn ver Ka so that it would be transformed to the Banshee will be released with the Gundam Unicorn manga?
Snagged this bit of news from SRW Hotnews.
Oddly enough, the unit designation for this is STILL RX-0 despite being a different version with a mildly different design. Hmmm…

OMFG, is Bandai serious?! *faints*
- Mark’s intial reaction when Mark aka Coffeebugg posted this link from Dannychoo.com
These are just prototype shots of the MG Sinanju ver. Ka that is said to be released December of this year. It appears that the ver. Ka line works independently from the MG line and that is something that makes Unicorn, Katoki and MG fans alike very happy. Well, I’m exuberant, that’s for sure. I cannot contain my joy and amazement that one of the mobile suits that I have on my wishlist has been granted an MG treatment and within the year, no less. Of course, MG Sinanju ver. Ka will hit Philippine shores around a month later but this is definitely something awesome to be released by Bandai. I think it’s the first non-Federation mobile suit to be given the MG ver Ka treatment and I can’t think of any better Zeon unit to get the ver Ka treatment than the Sinanju. Oh of course, I would wish that the rest of the Unicorn MS line-up get MG treatment but with the popularity of Gundam 00 and Bandai’s current MG fixation with redecoes of the Zakus from the advent of the Zaku II ver. 2.0, this is a welcome release.
I can’t waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait!!!

Found a clear scan of the latest additions to the Gundam Unicorn mecha line-up. First up are two modified GMs which are the classic Feddie mass production units.

GM here, GM there, GM everywhere!
The first one appears to be Gundam Unicorn’s version of the Powered GM. Lots of beam melee goodness and thrusters to significantly improve its speed. This GM reminds me of Gundam Maxter from G Gundam with its football-helmet-head and shoulder pads.
The second one doesn’t appear to be anything special except that it has high mobility underwater. Nice knee and leg design though. And I wonder what those things mounted on its side skirts do.

The new age mascot for Claw Daddy.
Two words: GIANT CRAB. From the images above, it’s supposed to be based on other UC mobile armor: the Grublo, the Val-Walo and the Bigro. Ugly pieces of shit but I’m sure the AMA-X7 Shamblo is a significant threat on the battlefield. Still, it appears to have no NT designation so against NT pilots, it might not really pose much of a threat, unless you sic an entire armada of Shamblos on the Unicorn Gundam. Crab attack!

Neo Zeon field assassin or the army cook?
I mentioned this in a previous post that covered the mystery Unicorn-like Gundam. This is the Zee Zulu, basically an underwater Zaku that takes after the Z’Gok…and yet not exactly. It definitely looks cooler than them ugly mono-eyed underwater fatties and the fact that it holds daggers as its main weapons adds to the cool factor. And then you see the flippers… And I’m wondering what’s up with that large backpack and that other case slung over its left shoulder. An underwater guitar or saxophone perhaps?
