This is a2 Crafts’s Master Grade Hi Nun Gundam. The construct looks gorgeous. It’s not a Keita revision but it is still very well done. I have yet to see how Keita would treat this model kit but we’re talking about a2′s works at the moment so let’s stick to that.
a2 Crafts shows how they went about upgrading this model kit from its basic look to how they think it should have looked like, adding metal thrusters, additional panel lines and pieces and changing the the color scheme from the racing blue that it came with to the purple that it was known for.

I love the detail that a2 Crafts put into this model kit. It looks very modded without going overboard. The additional Katoki/Gundam Sentinel-ish beam rifle looks awesome too. It would seem like not a lot of work as done modifying this model kit unlike the EVOLVED ones or the ones done by Keita of Wonder Excellence but just by looking at the construction images that a2 Crafts put up, one can see the amount of modifications that was put into the model kit. I also noticed that the hand set wasn’t native to the Hi Nu Gundam model kit. It appears to have been taken from the Strike Freedom model kit, where there are fist pieces and open-hand pieces. The hands used to hold the rifles, bazookas and beam sabers are fixed so when you remove the weapons, the hands come off with them.

Nicely done model kit. I love the large beam saber as well as the added detail to the hands, shoulders and thrusters. Not overdone but not lacking in detail either.

This is probably one of the sexiest Zeta mods I have ever seen. I do love hexagonal panel lines and this one has quite a number of them.
This is basically the Amuro-custom Zeta Gundam that was recently released which is basically the MG Zeta ver. 2.0 with a different plastic color scheme (pink to be exact). The guy who made this model kit is called rec.rec.reckless. I’m not sure if he’s the same guy who owns Texas Factory or he’s an associate of the guy who owns Texas Factory.
Now this Zeta mod looks nothing like the awesome Zeta mod that Danny Choo posted up way back then where the Waverider mode was completely disabled so that it could have all these panels and hydraulics and whatnot sticking out to make it look fierce and awesome. This does look like the waverider mode is disabled. But the difference between this one and the original Unit 3 is that the shield and the beam rifle appears to have been integrated.

It looks very sleek but it does make the Strike Zeta look a lot meeker than the Zeta version with the shield and beam rifle apart. Now if he made this into a mega-beam-rifle-turned-shield-turned-buster-sword-ala-Astray Blue Frame, then that would have made it look meaner than its other Zeta mod counterparts.
Nevertheless, this work looks very clean and really awesome. I just hope he showed how he went about building this baby in his blog.

This is another one of those Keita-does-it-again moments. This is an awesome mod of the MG Sazabi. You’d hardly notice anything until Keita does the side-by-side comparison of the original model kit and his version. It definitely looks bulkier, more dangerous, and yet looks a lot faster than the original master grade model kit. See more of it by clicking the image above.

I’ll put these up first. The pics with the PG Strike will follow when I find time. A bit busy at work…

I built my PG Aile Strike Pack over the weekend and the construction bumped into some problems, particularly its wing section.
To make the long story short, the joint part snapped so I had to go MacGyver on it and reinforce it so that it would stay in place.

The construct is definitely tougher now but the downside is that it can’t do the folded down pose when mounted on the PG Strike Gundam. I don’t mind since I don’t plan on doing that pose for it anyways.

The picture above is the 1/100 Turn A Gundam mod done by Seira Masuo and was featured in Hobby Japan. That’s the same model kit on display beside the original Syd Mead 1/100 Turn A Gundam in the Shizuoka Hobby Festival. So that means the real Turn A Gundam design for MG 100 would be more based on the the sketch in the middle as well as the parts detail poster at the back of the display.
Don’t forget the cow.
Personally, though, I do hope this is going to be the main basis for the design of the MG 100. It looks awesome. Plus, the missiles on the chest can be removed. I also hope that since this is a special MG, it comes with the prismatic Moonlight Butterfly effect.
Again, don’t forget the cow.

I’ve seen this gallery since last month but was too lazy to post it. This is another excellent recolor and mod by Keita of the Strike Freedom Gundam in MG scale. You’d probably think that it was a just a simple recolor but if you look a lot closer, there’s more to it than just a different coat of paint. Keita changed some parts to make this particular model kit unique. The chest part alone is different having a flat top compared to a round out from the original version. To see more of Keita’s excellent work, click on the image above to go to the gallery.

I’m really loving Keita’s work. Keita’s the guy behind Wonder Excellence. He has popularized the evolved look with his renditions of the SEED mobile suit model kits.
Being a big fan of the Gundam ver. OYW model kit myself as well as the frustration of not having the right equipment to at least try and make something similar to the model kits displayed online, I’ve gone to take a great liking to Keita’s version of the Gundam ver. OYW painted in Amuro Ray colors. You’ll notice that this Gundam sports the colors used on the Hi-Nu Gundam. If you actually take a look at the gallery, you’ll realize that there’s more detail underneath the armor than what Keita lets on. So not only does he make a coolsome paintjob, he also makes an awesome design of the internal mechanisms of the model kit.
