Probably the cutest iteration of Miku Hatsune to date, in Nendoroid form, Miku Hatsune HMO version is definitely going to be one of my favorite Nendoroid releases, if only for the fact that there’s so much that you get inside the package. Not only do you get your standard Nendoroid, but this is a Nendoroid that’s fully posable (like Nendoroid Saber). There’s also so much detail on her like the cables that stick out of her headset. Plus she comes with a lot of items: two keyboards, an entire drum set, etc.

These images are courtesy of Mikatan from her newly migrated English WordPress blog. Continue Reading

This is one of Goodsmile Company’s more recent master models of their upcoming Nendoroid releases: Kirino Kousaka from Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. I honestly haven’t seen the show or even read the manga but the expression on her face is just priceless. So priceless that I’m considering picking her up from a shelf (cutting back on pre-orders).

The office is currently abuzz with preparations for Halloween. On Friday, kids in costumes will be walking around to get free candy. My staff are busy preparing decorations for the Plants vs Zombies theme that our area will be decorated with. This is also usually the time I break out the halloween-related toys that I have stashed in my office.

Unlike last year where I had all my Nendoroids out on display, this year, I’ve decided to just have these few toys out. I also have all my SIC action figures and a couple of figmas out as well as Psycho Gundam Mk. I but that’s pretty much it for this year. It would have been a pain bringing out ALL the toys from their ziploc bags and then putting them back in after Halloween. Continue Reading

Last night, a good friend of mine dropped by Coffeebugg’s house for some paella and in turn, was able to pick up my BRS stuff from his house and then drop them off at my office which relatively close by. This was the third character that I purchased for both the Nendoroid and figma versions. The first one was obviously Miku Hatsune. The second one was Fireball Drossel. Black Rock Shooter is my third. My cousin and his girlfriend came over for a couple of weeks, the last week having been spent in our house. To hit two birds with one stone, I decided to take my annual vacation around this time so as to be there to take them around as well. They did a relatively good amount of shopping but their main targets were really the stuff that they had trouble getting back in Guam which are manga and anime-related merchandise, certain clothing brands and bargain buys. Update: Preorders are up in Amiami.com. Release date is late October 2010.
The last update I saw on Mikatan when I checked the site this morning was that figurine of Dead Master to complement GSC’s figurine of Black Rock Shooter.
Mark aka Coffeebugg was having a quick chat with me at my desk earlier when I had dropped by Mikatan’s blog again “hoping” that there’d be something new to see.
Lo and behold, Mikatan had posted a new Nendoroid prototype: Nendoroid Saber.
At first glance we were just really happy to see an actual Nendoroid Saber in colored form since the previous versions shown in conventions was the grey proto version which didn’t really show off much. And again, with Saber Lily released before this, we figured that was one tough Nendoroid to beat in the popularity contest.
We were wrong. Very wrong.

At this angle, it looks like every other Nendoroid that came out of GSC shelves. Neh? Continue Reading

Oh my goodness, it feels like it’s been ages since I last visited this place and posted something. Things have been picking up at the office lately that I couldn’t find time to write up something for the site during the weekdays which is both frustrating and sad.
I remember having mentioned before (if I actually did) that Nendoroid Megurine Luka has arrived at my desk.

Now isn’t that face absolutely cute. Currently, she’s on display at my office desk along with Nendoroid Drossel. I switched her to this face because one, I love it, and two, it matches Drossel’s eyes.

Ho! Long time no update! Been busy with work so haven’t been able to post anything new. Just a couple of Nendoroid updates before I run back to work.
Two sitting Nendoroids to be exact. Today, Nendoroid Leina from Queen’s Blade and the first Queen’s Blade-related Nendoroid is up for preorder in Amiami and boy is it the most nekkid Nendoroid I have ever seen! Not only that, it has a pose where it looks risque by Nendoroid standards if there are any.

Definitely one of the most anticipated Nendoroid releases of this year, photos of the upcoming Nendoroid Black Rock Shooter show up in Mikatan’s blog. These appear to be what it would look like in production although the actual box for the Nendoroid has yet to be shown.
Nevertheless, we have oodles of pictures to view from Mikatan’s blog including what appears to be some interesting additional items that would make this Nendoroid even more worthwhile to collect. It also makes me think that the box that Nendoroid will be packaged in will be bigger than usual.

This is what she’s supposed to look like in production. What’s interesting to note is that the base is the black and white tile base that has been signature to the BRS franchise. Another interesting thing is that the stand for this Nendoroid looks like the stands you would commonly see in figmas. Continue Reading

I haven’t taken a snapshot of my desk in quite some time. Probably because I haven’t had time to decently fiddle around with my office desk stuff. So I decided to take one snapshot of those that keep me company when I work.
